Had an interesting online exchange with an event organizer who asked me to repost their AI-generated car event flyer. I declined, and they asked why because AI is the latest and greatest thing. They were really polite and curious about it, so I linked my site https://whynoai.info and thanked them for being curious.
A day later they came back to me and said that they now understood why I took my position and that they respected it.
I like to think that I helped shine some light on this topic for one more person.

i never used proton. not because i had secret knowledge about them or saw some hint of what was to come, but because once i realized that the privacy of my communications was important to me, the only answer was to self host.
i understand this isnt possible for everyone. we all must do our own risk assessment, etc. etc.
but somebody else's computer will always be somebody elses computer. and sometimes that means shitheads will violate your trust.
“When #PatrickStewart was growing up in the 1940s, he witnessed how, after his father beat his mother, home doctors and ambulance workers would tell her: “You must have done something to provoke him.”
Stewart knew the violence was never warranted, a conviction that became the spark for a lasting commitment to campaigning for greater understanding of domestic abuse.”

Hello, Little People Living Inside Of My Computer,
I have made my second ever YouTube video briefly discussing the Chinese government trying to compromise companies in Malaysia.
It was fun.
It’s 1986 and my mother is shouting at me to stop touching the computer, I’m wasting my life.
It’s 2016 and I am fixing mother’s computer, regaling her about the variety of rich opportunities computer touching has given me in my life.
It’s 2026 and I am cursing my mother for ever letting me touch a computer. I have wasted my life.
@nyanbinary this is my emotional support management interface.
