@anon_opin easy dividing line:
fancy-dress is "this kinda thing"
cosplay is "my costume is correct, as per the scene between these two characters which has 0.3s of screentime in the region/language-specific version of the film/episode/cartoon shown once at 4am on a Sunday. that is why my sock is that exact shade of pink, not because of a laundry accident. you know nothing!"

@UkeleleEric @anon_opin daylight running lights should also by default have a rear light showing as well. they are bright enough (though way less directional) at night for drivers to be able to see in front of their car, the interior dashboard being default-lit too leads to assumptions that the headlight must be on. having a rear light in the cluster too (possibly labelled "if you see this in the dark, the driver is confused and/or distracted") would close that safety loop nicely.

In case you missed this - it's wonderful to be featured in the Border Telegraph article yesterday. Scotland's bookshops play a vital community and cultural role - now, maybe, more than ever, but these are challenging times...

I know we all love to criticize older generations, but in the 20th century if someone did a Nazi salute you could almost guarantee that a WW2 veteran would punch them in the head, and I think there was a great societal benefit to that.

Fun fact, if you google booter services (DDoS services), almost every major one is a Cloudflare customer. So currently, by anti-DDoS provider Cloudflare being offline, the world is a safer place.

With music, I usually commission something from tomkincaid.co.uk so I know it’ll be great AND all work together (sometimes I’ll also ask for sfx with matching timbre)
There’s loads of great library music out there, but if you’re not careful you can waste days trawling for just the right things
