just thinking of the tech etymology "thing that we do" plus the following rules depending when it was launched:
early 00s: prefix i- or e- (ebay, iphone)
late 00s: suffix -r (flickr, warblr)
10s: suffix -ly or -ify (bit.ly spotify)
20s web games: suffix -le (wordle, countle)
this gets fun, because you can take an existing tech product and move it to a different era by changing its name construction
Imagine there’s a button that when pressed would immediately change your body from what you have now, to that of a goose. You can only press the button once. When pressed everyone will have known you in this new form the whole time, so there’s no social impact at all.
