Good morning Mastodon. I hope you're having a nice day.
In my head, when I saw the sign, this was very funny. I accept the possibility that it's only funny to me, but just in case...

It’s over.
RIP Twitter 2023.
What a sad, pathetic ending.

Second lesson of the day.
If the teenager is with me when I say something grown-up like "the ben is looking very fine this morning" they will roll their eyes and say "so we'll be seeing that with googly eyes later then?"
Heh. I probably wouldn't have, due to previously mentioned lack of camera, but, you know... I wouldn't want to disappoint them.
Lesson for this morning: if the sun is out, take the camera.
Was lucky enough to have a beautiful walk, misty woods & rivers, rays of sun through the trees... glorious.
My phone is not up to the job. I could have spent an age on this tree alone.
Ah. Thinking about it that's why I don't take my camera all the time.
Damn, usually try to keep related stuff in a thread but forgot to reply to the earlier one.
The first that I'm referring to is here:

Hahahahahahaha!
So this was the idea in my head when I saw that cat photo earlier, but it didn't look right so I went for some tried and tested happy facial features.
Just come back to it and tried again. I don't know if I've done it slightly differently, or if I'm just in a more positive frame of mind after a break, but the long furry nose is making me laugh A LOT.
Today I had to wade through loads and loads of cat photos to find the right ones for a work project.
Imagine how excited I would be to be able to tell you that I didn't get distracted or do anything silly.
Fortunately you don't have to imagine it, because I made this Very Very Excited Thing from a cat's bu...
Oh.
Having a chat and very probably a nice cup of tea on Monday at Waterstones Piccadilly at 6pm. I'm a Lady Grey kind of a gal and @GabrielleKent likes more of a two-bagger, make-it-brick-coloured brew. I found a splendid tree for #ThickTrunkTuesday in my photo archive.
This is the Ardkinglas Silver Fir, designated as one of fifty great British Trees by the Tree Council according to the plaque that was by it.
Designated as AWESOME by me.
Drawn figures for scale (and to cover up some slightly quick 'n' dirty editing out of people as I failed to get a good photo of it alone).

The media is finally getting its shit together and writing accurate headlines about the former president. This is my favorite from today. https://www.esquire.com/news-politics/politics/a45822510/trump-veterans-day-speech/
