The Firefly cast have secured the rights to Firefly, and plan to turn it into an animated series with the original cast voicing. https://deadline.com/2026/03/nathan-fillion-firefly-animated-series-development-1236754122/

The secret is out at last. Revealed by the cast of Firefly an hour ago, their aim is to relaunch the show as an animated series.

The video reveals (which I've included), they have Whedon's blessing, 20th CF/Disney are happy, they have a script, animation studio and show runners ready to go.

All they need is our support to show this is a viable project.

folks it is a kind and lovely thing to favorite someone's post and anyone who tells you not to be kind and lovely has told you something about themself

it's true that it doesn't particulary increase the distribution of your post but the idea that we're all here to get things distributed as far as possible is pretty weird

I still can't even that my now nearly 80 year old mom has been on Fedora on a thinkpad e520 (2011) for a decade and it all just works.

I checked her laptop just now and it's fully up to date on fedora 43, so she's done like 20 version upgrades autonomously too. The battery has degraded a little but the whole thing still works fine and she's very happy with it.

This is how things should be, this is peak computing tbh.

There should be a mandatory GCSE in Life Skills. By the time you leave school you should know how to change a car wheel, wire a plug, stop a dripping tap, how to wallpaper and paint, being able to cook simple meals from scratch, alongside financial skills like budgeting.
