Sweary post about AI
Shitty bots swamping my site again today. Have had to take part of it offline to cut them off. How the fuck is this legal? Copyright aside it's destructive.
Fucking fuckers.
Last boost from my lovely techy about their latest behaviour, in case it's useful to anyone else.
Edit: Last boost here, as probably easier to find with a link

Right, I'm closing the computer down before I get the urge to catch up on news. The one plus to being busy with work is that I haven't had time to be angry at [gestures at everything].
And at least a bit of spooky hatting has washed away the far too early festive stuff I had to do earlier 😁
More tomorrow no doubt (Selina is next in the hatting queue @Bikil !)
'Night all! 💤
@anon_opin Automation itself isn't the problem. The problem, as always, is cunts.
Today's Low Quality Ad is for this You are Not Immune to Propaganda pin. Literally no one in this world is immune to propaganda. Not a single person. Anyone who thinks that propaganda doesn't affect them is not as smart as they believe they are. Except for me, of course.

Participated in a photo-shoot from a local study group with our youngest. :)
Wait...
If streaming apps require you to pay and still have ads... why don't I cancel all of them and just watch the free streaming apps?
Free Apps with *NO* ads:
- Kanopy (uses library card)
- Hoopla (uses library card)
- PBS
Free Apps with ads:
- Fawesome
- Freevee
- Pluto
- Tubi
- Roku Channel
- Plex
- Sling Freestream
- Fandango at Home
- Filmzie
- Filmrise
- Crackle (Crackle is out, alas)
- Xumo Play
I'm sure I've missed plenty.
Anyhow if I'm paying for the pleasure of watching ads, I'll just not pay.
Also 🏴☠️.
This is Sally's first hatting experience, and she gathered some spooky companions to offer support as she was a bit tired out after a hard day burying stones and chasing seagulls @g7kse
I'm going through old photos/slides affected by end-of-film-roll light leaks and scouring the damaged portions for any traces of visual information.
It's a kind of archaeology. Hidden histories.
Wait, so AI companies are struggling to raise enough funding to build datacenters for their unproven technology. And to solve this, Nvidia is just handing out cash on the condition that those companies buy their GPUs, which is being spun as Nvidia building a walled garden? That kind of sounds like someone combined the Subprime Mortgage Crisis with a Ponzi Scheme.

Hi Internet! I'm Drew and THIS IS MY FACE.
If this GIF has ever brought you joy in the past, I humbly ask you to consider making a donation to the National MS Society. It would mean a lot to me and to those I know affected by the disease!

A quick boop of @mycrowgirl 's tussock moth caterpillars, as they weren't able to do it themselves due to the resulting unpleasant itch. My wee folk are helpfully immune.
