From the country that brought you Boaty McBoatface comes Network Rail's leaf-removal train:
THIS IS THE RIGHT KIND OF CANCEL CULTURE.
So Disney is offering massive discounts for 6 months if you try to cancel your subscription. For those who weren’t cancelling bc their young kids, it’s worth at least trying to cancel and take the discount they offer to keep you. Then cancel before the promotion period ends.
They are also spending a fortune on ads to get people back. The boycott is working. Soooo many people are fighting back.

Hello! We are a small independent bookshop in Stow, in the Scottish Borders. We are no longer using Twitter, for obvious reasons, but could use some new followers on Mastodon and other social media channels - where our presence is smaller than on Twitter. Please help / share this is you can! Thank you.
If your upgrade to mastodon 4.4.4 failes with:
Couldn't find a script named "vite"

2. Didn't get rained on
3. Saw a caterpillar
It is important to find a good place to hide from the rain.

I’ll say the elephant in the room - due to the sheer amount of Salesforce customers who have been hit, and that Salesforce is a fully SaaS service - Salesforce should have detected and been more proactive about all of their customer’s data being stolen. https://databreaches.net/2025/09/11/exclusive-high-end-fashion-retailers-gucci-balenciaga-brion-and-alexander-mcqueen-hit-by-salesforce-attacks/

I like to think that the shooter in the crowd wasn't even planning anything, but then saw Kirk standing there talking about how gun violence isn't a big deal and how gun deaths are an acceptable price to pay for upholding the second amendment, and thought "ok I have the opportunity to do the funniest thing right now"
A bit absorbed in my own wee world at the moment as we get sorted for The Teenager starting uni. Super happy for them, but it is a Big Thing.
It's interesting how memories of my own youthful foolishness, that had been blurred with the passing of time, have shot back into focus as I attempt to pass on parental advice. Being grown up is such a shaky facade at times 😆
I'm going to enjoy having an excuse to head into the city though. I do like a bit of culture.
