Angela Eagle at #pmqs "This year the Tory party has given us five education secretaries, four chancellors, three prime ministers, two leadership coups and........... the partridge has sold the pear tree to pay for the gas bill"
@doot @ben true story: I had a friend who a decade ago worked at Sears. She was trying to sell Sodastreams to customers that walked by. One woman asks her if it has ti be water. "No. Honestly, you could probably carbonate your own pee if you wanted to." The customer stopped, then picked up a Sodastream from the pile.
"My husband is going to learn a valuable lesson about taking my sodas."

Drama at the Brick Bank as Han has stern words with the bank manager about lack of wheelchair access for Chewie who is stricken with gout.
#Twitter - Too many links to post here right now, but worth noting reports that Musk is now refusing to pay various bills due and working to find ways to prevent paying severance to former #Twitter employees, while labor experts are saying he is likely to face a mass wave of lawsuits from fired employees, vendors, etc.
Re: deadnaming
I explained to my mother that deadnaming and misgendering is like farting. If you do it by accident, and apologize, people will forgive you.
If you keep doing it, people will suggest you get that taken care of, maybe recommend you seek treatment, and ultimately avoid you.
If you bend over, stick your ass in their face, and let it rip though, then you shouldn’t be surprised people think you’re a clueless, hostile asshole.
(This is from an old post, but I wanted to keep it.)
Remember friends, a dinosaur isn't just for Christmas. You should probably stop to think whether you should, even if you could.
But *if* you could, I've made this handy guide.
Weird fluffy advent, day 14

The best thing I've ever done as an IT professional is install adblockers for elderly and non-computer-literate clients. Everyone should use them. It's not even just an aesthetics thing, it's an "ads are responsible for serving tons of malicious scripts that trick people into calling numbers or clicking links that lead to scammy shit" thing.
Fuck ads.
@mikegalsworthy I keep seeing warnings from the info sec guys that it’s best to hold onto your account over there, but lock and don’t use. To prevent identity theft in future. After the QElon crud of this past week I’m done with it though.
Just a reminder for all you mastodonians that my book and calendar are still available and would make great Christmas presents… BOOK: https://shop.printtrail.com/product/chris-barker-brush-strokes-book/

Went for a pleasing walk by the river earlier.
Water surprisingly still.
Sky surprisingly wibbly.
