@anon_opin US cars in the 80s had a speedo range limit of 85mph on the dial.
didn't really have the effect you consider, plus lot of new cars now have digital dashes, so wouldn't really be as useful.
Oooh, Purple Jeremy *has* been posted on Mastodon before, not long after I first joined, although the original is another 20-odd year old bit of silliness.
And just to highlight how I am in NO WAY AT ALL stuck in a rut, the above haiku was written TWENTY-TWO YEARS AGO for this wee guy, called Purple Jeremy 😆
(I am aware that when I post this it is going to display far bigger than the source file & it's going to look awfully pixelated as a result - braces self)

There won’t be a second issue, but there may be something related, and I’ve got another print project planned for autumn
"Breath of Life" for #ThrowbackThursday (to April 2016, ten years ago)
I have photographed this cottonwood tree in San Diego's back country quite a few times over the years and the wind in the grass on this April day in 2016 adds such a nice and subtle accent and motion towards the tree — it is one of my favorite photos from that series.
