@aldroid my instance admin (me) has told me that I'll get blocked if I don't get on with my work.
hanging on in there for some phising, but quiet and tiny instance doesn't seem to be a great target so far.
only seen it limited to mastodon.social accounts so far
@scarlet also: do *not* look at the cloth you cleaned it with afterwards. walk that cloth directly to the bin, do not pass 'try to re-use' and do not collect £200
@scarlet ah, that's the annual re-brightening one.
leave it a full 4 years and rediscover brightness, colour and pixels too. somehow slightly less readable though, guess it smoothed out fonts better.

@tootech failing that, crop it. crop it hard.
@tootech do you mean in chats? I believe it's local-only, so unless you share a screenshot it shouldn't be a problem.
if screenshot sharing, just edit the battery indicator to read 2% remaining and that seems to nerd-snipe most techies sufficiently
@vagina_museum oh my...
that's one impressive rectum there :/
@JennyList yes. yes it does.
Anker 20kmAh packs are fine, USB-A -> C cable.
lasts a fair amount less than a pi zero-w for some reason, but does work. would consider it more of a "short-term UPS" rather than "very portable system" running raspbian. non-efficiency-optimisedq, so prob could do a load better.
"i use linux as my operating system," i state proudly to the unkempt, bearded man. he swivels around in his desk chair with a devilish gleam in his eyes, ready to mansplain with extreme precision.
"actually," he says with a grin, "linux is just the kernel. you use GNU+linux."
i don't miss a beat and reply with a smirk, "i use alpine, a distro that doesn't include the GNU coreutils, or any other GNU code. it's linux, but it's not GNU+linux."
the smile quickly drops from the man's face. his body begins convulsing and he foams at the mouth as he drop to the floor with a sickly thud. as he writhes around he screams "I-IT WAS COMPILED WITH GCC! THAT MEANS IT'S STILL GNU!"
coolly, i reply "if windows was compiled with gcc, would that make it GNU?" i interrupt his response with "and work is being made on the kernel to make it more compiler-agnostic. even if you were correct, you won't be for long."
with a sickly wheeze, the last of the man's life is ejected from his body. he lies on the floor, cold and limp. i've womansplained him to death.
Here’s something that has taken far too long for Microsoft to remedy - better late than never. This has been abused for far too long by malicious email folks. Credit to MS for finally cleaning it up.
If you’re legitimately using *.onmicrosoft.com for your sent mail, first slap yourself on the wrist. Second, better setup your custom domain quickly or face restricted outbound mail flow.
@rogeliop if you build a better mousetrap customers will all have that happy glow for the rest of their lives...
@35millimetre yay!
(I forgot birthday, knew it was one of 2, other half had told them both dates I'd say it was)
Remember that dude with the Plasticine Action tshirt, with the pic of Morph on it, who got arrested for wearing it in London? He has set up a site selling the tshirts with all proceeds going to the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP). You know what to do! ⬇️ plasticineaction.com
