@codepo8 level of precision to allow points for an assist?
@JennyList okay, I want one. the cheeky thimbsup after rampantly abusing his bike and device sells it. fireproof / waterproof was just an added bonus.
To help defenders find their impacted orgs in the Fortigate configuration dump incident, here's all emails mentioned - Ctrl+F for yourself.
Obvious point - not everybody puts their email address in a config file.
@JennyList it ain't over yet :/
Feel like spending lunchtime at the seaside? I just fixed a couple of local stations in this, so pick your destination, click the radio, and enjoy the sandwich & flask of tea https://vole.wtf/british-seaside/
The only thing I ever want to read about Trump again, is his obit.
Yesterday, the thing I hoped wouldn't happen but which I have been working to prepare for happening for three years as part of Trans Rescue, happened. Trump began the process of erasing trans people in the USA.
Where this ends we don't know. But reading the executive orders, they're following a very 1930s path. Remove documentation, make it difficult to work, erase fron society, eliminate. It took several years from Hitler taking power to the Final Solution, and they started like this.
My apologies, if you followed me for random hacks to bits of junk, and pithy tech commentary, you're going to see another side of my life for a while.

This is a thread for happy, joyful things
Today is going to be rubbish for quite a lot of people, especially in the USA.
Why not share something that makes you feel happy or joyful?
It doesn't have to be deep or artistic. Just something - anything - that makes you smile.
<sysadmin stuff>
The AWS SDK for S3 suddenly stopped working for my non-AWS object stores (DigitalOcean, R2, etc)...and I thought I was losing my mind.
Well, looks like AWS decided to stop allowing others to leverage/freeload their software for use on competing services.
Understandable-ish, but doing it suddenly, know that stuff would break - on top of AWS blatantly making bank on services based on OSS software - well, that makes for some very bad karma.
