My oldest brought a friend home from college for Thanksgiving with us.
Today I overheard him exclaim “Ah yes. Mozzarella Firefox!”
So I had to make a logo.
I'm looking for a job. I have 30 years of experience doing complex systems programming in many languages, most recently Typescript, Haskell, and Python. I learn quickly. I can do advanced mathematics.
This year I helped a company migrate 15,000 customers from another company into their own systems.
Last year I helped develop a differential privacy database product written in Haskell.
Before that I helped develop a laboratory information management system that tracked up to 30,000 Covid-19 tests per day.
I live in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA, but I have years of success working remotely. I can start January 1.
Please check out my CV.

When someone says "but his first term turned out fine" the proper response is "There is a reason you need to be aggressive when removing cancer"
a couple of people have asked what "until the end of Friday" means from a timezone perspective -- if it's Friday anywhere in the world, the sale's still on!

@CppGuy @anon_opin "and he sounded so sincere too..."
we've moved office floors and there's a bunch of new conference rooms on this floor that they asked for names for, with the naming scheme being "microsoft products" and:
1) One of my (and probably others) suggestions, Clippy, actually made it lmfao
2) They have a room named "Solitaire". It is set up for four people.
3) They have a room named "Windows". It is, guess what, an interior room with no windows.

@GossiTheDog this is why we have microwave ovens.
gentle threat, pretend to close the door on it a few times, let it realise the metal cage stops everything else from hearing its cries.

A sneak peek of my almost-finished Hexie Quilt. I decided on a fleece backing (because why not make it harder on myself?!), which wrinkled to buggery, but you can't tell from the front. Just need to bind it and I'm done. #quilting
I came to Mastodon to escape the hellsite formerly known as Twitter. Little did I know I’d find such a community of folks who still haven’t gotten over the collapse of RSS readers 🫶
@hypnogoria and a good day to you too
