Ergo, no, I do not see cooler heads prevailing because cooler heads in Iran are not credible people anymore - they said do a deal with us, and then got bombed anyway.
There is no reason for Iran to allow this war to end, without removing America from the entire Gulf. Because nothing we can promise them means anything, we will just bomb them again in 8 months. It's that simple.
Rubio might as well be a speak and spell for all his words mean anything.
