@b0rk sqlite is just such a good idea.
I've never really understood why _all_ databases don't come in a form that runs as a library. Any time you want a db that's only accessed by a single uid, it's a huge inconvenience to run a db server in a separate account and then manage a username and password for the app to log in to it.
If all dbs had this mode, I'd be able to choose 'server or library?' _and_ choose the db whose feature set was best suited to my application. I'd love a libpostgres!
Recently switched my primary #monospace #font for my IDE and terminal from SF Mono to Input Mono. Damn what a neat font this is! It has this slight edgy, sharp look. Love it! 🤩
The upshot was that my appt. was needlessly longer because: a) Standard human dental checkup b) Compare results against #AI c) Human re-check to investigate AI results d) Confirm that AI results were bollocks e) Discussion about AI being bollocks and dangerous.
Everything after A was unnecessary

🧔♀️ What do horses say when they fall?
🤖 When a horse falls, it may emit a combination of whinnying, snorting, and vocalizations expressing pain, distress, or surprise. However, their primary means of communication is through body language, which may include rolling, bucking, or other physical reactions to the fall.
🧔♀️ Help, I’ve fallen and I can’t giddy up!
Me: "#Frankenstein ... wow, what a monster."
Them: "That's a popular misconception, Frankenstein was the scientist."
Me: "That's a popular misconception. Frankenstein was the classic #techbro who didn't give a damn about the consequences of what he did and ignored all common ethical considerations. By all reasonable modern-day measures he was indeed the damn monster."
Had a chat with a friendly branch, because that's a thing, obviously

I never use Caps Lock, so I disable the Caps Lock key completely with xmodmap, to avoid hitting it by accident.
Occasionally my X server gets into caps-lock state anyway. (Usually some complicated stunt was involved, like attaching x11vnc to the display remotely.) And then I can't turn it off again using the Caps Lock key.
So I wrote a tiny X client that lets me type 'xcapslock off' at a shell prompt …
… and then I had to make an alias to it, called 'XCAPSLOCK OFF'.
