Very pleased to see a caterpillar when out and about earlier.
They seemed slightly less pleased to see me.

Action footage from the garden earlier today.
I found this is near Dunvegan Castle on the Isle of Skye. I'm not sure what they were in their original form, and I'm not sure what they are now, but I rather like both.

Rocket propellants are often fun. This one is designed to fuck things up on a magnitude that's up there with Project PLUTO, by using elemental fluorine reacting with liquid lithium _heated by cesium-137_.
For when you absolutely positively have to fuck literally everything that so much as looks at your exhaust funny.
It's the 26th anniversary of SNL's only airing of likely the most subversive sketch in the show's entire history: "Conspiracy Theory Rock" –– a Robert Smigel cartoon that, unsurprisingly, would be cut from all future reruns.
Smigel (my old boss!) posted this version today, which is much higher quality than the terrible one going around YouTube. Share this one!

Does anyone have any opinions on handheld emulator consoles? I'm thinking I might purchase my first piece of gaming hardware since the Xbox 360 and I have very little knowledge to draw on.
What I'm thinking: I really want to be able to emulate at least into the dreamcast era, and pushing the extra step into ps2/gc would probably be 99%+ of every game I'd ever want emulated. My cursory research suggests that the Ayn Odin 2 would be ideal for this, as well as even emulating some switch games. Would love to hear any opinions of it, and switch games are more of a nice-to-have so if there are cheaper systems that handle the rest I'd be interested to hear about that as well.
This is one post I'd really like to see boosted into the tech corner of fedi because I could really use perspective from people who've actually kept up with this stuff.
