Covid inquiry, Home Office
Just having a catch up on the headlines from the inquiry.
Saw them asking Priti Patel about plans to help vulnerable people.
Thought to myself "why are they asking her about that"? before realising that's something the Home Office is supposed to do.
It's meant to keep people safe.
What a damning indictment of the Home Office of recent years that I should be so surprised at having to connect those two things.
Grim.
@35millimetre non-motorway? meep! though fun if you limit yourself to 2 wheels... (but not in November. waterproof kit isn't ever 100%)
@35millimetre :/ it works if you take a break 1/2 - 3/4 of the way up the m6 and overnight around the border, but see: take extra days
@35millimetre taking the extra day each end and driving is worth it. unless they are waaaaaaay up in the far north.
hunting out a non-scenic route back is way more difficult than just driving with eyes open and camera bag ready at hand ;)
We went to Joshua Tree yesterday (my second visit) and I brought my infrared camera along with me to see what I could capture. #infrared #photography #landscapephoto #landscapephotography

You have heard it said, "Those not learning from history are doomed to repeat it," but I tell you "those preventing history from being taught, intend to repeat it."
So you know how some people insist that you look at photos of their babies all the time, assuming you're interested in the minute changes since the last photo?
Yeah, so turns out I do that, but with fungi in my garden.
/it's been a long day
