@Eetschrijver @anon_opin "gammon" is a way of preparing pork/pig. it is very very pink. our middle-aged mostly-male racists sometimes appear very pink, and so got nicknamed "gammons"
as they get pinker the angrier they get (and they are always angry) it is probably related to blood pressure.
@evilstevie @anon_opin Thanks much! For the anecdote, I remember my first visit to London in the early seventies, where I spotted "gammon steak" on a menu. I had no clue what "gammon" was, but I knew steak, so I ordered it. You imagine the WTF-experience. 😂
