Tough decision: first roll of film through my Pentax 17, on holiday in sunny Spain next week. Do I choose Ilford FP4 125 or HP5 400? Will be using a yellow filter for pretty skies and boosted contrast. #BelieveInFilm

@35millimetre I always used to try for ISO400 because not really a sunshine person.
(pretty much the same on digital as a default tbh).
is there noticably less grain on the 125?

@evilstevie opinions have been overwhelmingly in favour of 125 ISO, probably because of the finer grain. I do remember HP5 being kind of crunchy.

@evilstevie I mostly shoot colour at higher ISO too, to account for all lighting and my reluctance to use a tripod.
