Big thanks to a friend for hooking me up with this adorable Fujitsu Lifebook P1510. It came without a hard drive. The ribbon inside has this weird Compact Flash looking connector. Managed to figure out what kind of hard drive to use and found one cheap from eBay. I also ordered a compact flash adapter and hope to take this thing fully solid state. I had to install a generic XP Tablet CD then use Snappy Driver Installer. I couldn’t find a restore CD or any drivers/tools specific for this unit. If anyone happens to have the restore CD I would love an ISO! #retrocomputing

also worthy of note is compact flash's similarity to IDE - converters are cheapish...

check if your hard drive is the 80-pin parallel ATA type or the 44-pin stuff - above is 44 pin. also check drive height to make sure it fits - I had (from memory) 19mm and 12mm high ide drives for laptops
