If I compose a shot, set the ISO, apeture, shutter speed etc etc but then get somebody else to get into the river*, point the camera as to my directions, and press the shutter button… am I the photographer or are they?
*I do not do cold water.

@Hinterlands also something like the old ZigView remote viewfinder may be of use - some newer mirrorless let you remote the camera entirely from a phone via wifi...
