Why haven't I thought of this?
I was going to do a bench like in the 2nd picture, but it never occurred to me to do a coffee table with glass like this.
(The first picture is even from a local Danish buy-and-sell page)
WAF not be good though. No worries, I'm made of metal.

@lkarlslund I had an old PowerEdge 4400 with a rectangular glass top as my coffee table for a while. moving several rooms' worth of air noisily around by booting it up was great fun
@evilstevie argh, fully loaded!? That's wild, but I guess it stays where you place it.
@lkarlslund moving it anywhere was, however, a major pain in the bum. pretty sure that thing outweighed me with all the PSUs and disks in...
