Since the 1980s, the UK has been building houses with garages that no modern car can get into. Yet we pretend it's still the case, with up and over doors. Why don't we just admit these are store rooms, and put actual, weather-proof, secure doors on them?
@bleepbloop@anon_opin the car *needs* to be that big, otherwise people will bully me on the road and think I've failed in my motoring aspirations. ignore the fact that there's no real interior space inside the thing, and that a bumper now holds enough tech and paint to warrant writing off the car when actually bumped. ignore the lack of spatial awareness on the road of a lot of drivers. ignore the visibility issues due to the 'interesting' stylistic choices to make big look bigger. More. Big.
