Software. Adobe. UI horror. Procrastination.

I am currently doing everything on my to do list - EVERYTHING - before tackling a project that involves me learning how to use a bit of Adobe #software

Said project has a deadline. I have to do it today. But dear lord it is a painful process, & no-one writes a good user manual anymore. I used to quite like a user manual.

"I need to do this"
"Here's a section on how to do this"

I miss them.

I don't want to have to watch a video.

gaaaah, video tutorials

@eclectech oh blimey, so much this.
having to watch someone's very nicely presented video tutorial about a subject renders it mostly non-searchable, means you cannot jump into a particular step, have no real way to 'skim-read' to check it's what you need, and is really annoying if rtfm is a personally-easier method of learning...

@evilstevie It drives me absolutely batty. Over the years I've got pretty good at winging my way through software, and I usually just need a wee hint to push me in the right direction. The idea that the hint is 30 seconds buried inside a 20 minute video is rage inducing.
